This past Sunday, the second week of Advent, we looked at what God reveals to us about Jesus through Jesus' most used name for Himself, the "Son of Man". When I meditate on this name and all it means to us it is too much to fully comprehend. We must not let the challenge of trying to understand all that this name means, keep us from pressing on and gleaning all we can from it... God is speaking to us through this weeks message.
I was reminded of one of many books I have found helpful by A.W. Tozer entitled: "Jesus, Our Man in Glory". The book is a compilation of Tozer Sermons on the first half of the book of Hebrews. "In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven". (Hebrews 1:1-3 NIV) God's final word is His Son, Jesus, Our Man in Glory... and He is still speaking today! The link below is to a devotional piece on the web that I hope you will find helpful as you meditate on Sunday's message, it's meaning and implications for you. http://www.cmalliance.org/devotions/tozer?id=1106

I am so enriched by the sermon last Sunday. It was a fresh message on the Glory of Jesus, THE SON OF MAN, and the Glory of God was revealed in a wonderful way that should lift all of us to a fresh awareness of who we are in our Lord and Savior. The Sovereign King of kings and Lord of lords is on display through the life and teachings and miracles exposed through Jesus Christ our Lord and Son of Man who followed the sovereign will of the God of Creation who predesignated the way and means for the human race to be reconciled back to our King who sits on the Throne of Glory in the Heavenly Abode. May we truly embrace the truth revealed in the act of perfect Love from our Father which art in Heaven for him coming as a Man to experience all the temptations that every person who has, is or ever will live and all the punishment for all the sins of all the people who has, is and ever will live and the faithful obedience unto even death on the cross through which we can simply by faith receive forgiveness for our sins through His wonderful sacrifice. May His obedience encourage us to follow His lead to pickup our cross and follow Him through which we will have the peace that surpasses understanding. EMBRACE OUR KING'S SOVEREIGNTY TODAY!
